‘MAKE A WISH’ CHRISTMAS PROJECT

Our ‘Make a Wish’ program is designed to assist children and/or families receiving support from Wayne County Children Services during the holiday season.

What is a Sponsor?

Our Christmas ‘Make a Wish’ program would not be a reality without the generosity of numerous sponsors (made up of corporations, individuals and groups) who make hundreds of “wishes” come true and each year there are more children with wishes to be filled.

Wayne County Children Services confidentially matches a child with a community sponsor.  The sponsor is given the first name and age of a child, along with clothing sizes and the child’s “wishes.”  We typically ask sponsors to spend between $150-$175 per child. All items purchased for the child must be brand new.

How do I become a Sponsor or Donate?

Monetary contributions, gift cards and “stocking stuffer gifts” are also gratefully accepted to assist with last minute needs of children that come into care closer to the holiday, emergency cases and/or special needs of a child.

If you would like to sponsor a child or donate, simply use the links in Blue below!
