preservice foster parent training – the first steps in becoming a foster parentÂ
PRESERVICE FOSTER PARENT TRAINING
Preservice Foster Parent Training Schedule
Prospective Foster and Adoptive parents are required to engage in 24 hours of Pre-Service Training, tailored to equip them with the essential tools and insights needed for success. Whether opting for the convenience of online instruction or the dynamics of in-person sessions, participants have the flexibility to choose what suits their preferences and schedule best. Additionally, Wayne County Children Services mandates an additional 3 hours of specialized agency-related information training, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the unique landscape within our community. During this process, you will be fully supported by our agency’s staff if any questions or needs arise.
Flexibility is at the core of our course offerings, with sessions available during weeknight evenings, weekdays, and weekends, accommodating diverse schedules and commitments. For those seeking a blend of convenience and interaction, hybrid participation seamlessly integrates online and in-person elements. Furthermore, we periodically offer a three-day intensive training option, providing an immersive experience that fulfills the required 24 hours in a condensed timeframe. Please contact us for details and availability of this training format.
