    Wayne County Children Services is looking for an individual who wants to help us strengthen families & protect children.  Is this something that interests you, or have you thought about exploring a career working with families & children?  If so, please click on the employment link below for details about this position.

    Requirements  for this position include being available between 20 - 29 1/2 hours per week, including evening and weekend availability; a high school diploma or GED; excellent computer skills; ability to work with adults and children from different social/economic backgrounds; a positive attitude; and a willingness to contribute to, and be part of a team.

    Starting Salary for this position is $9.52 per hour.

In partnership with the community, Wayne County Children Services protects children at risk of abuse or neglect and strengthens, preserves and empowers families.  Through evaluation of that risk, we identify and coordinate community services.  We work in collaboration with others to provide these children with safe, nurturing and permanent families, whether their own or another.  We seek to enhance community awareness by educating the public.
