Traditional Christmas Project

Changes due to COVID-19

This year, our Christmas 'Make A Wish' program will be different.

In consideration of COVID-19 precautions and to provide safety to our sponsors, their families and those we service, we have determined that our Christmas 'Make A Wish' program will be temporarily changed this year.

To ensure safety this year, we are asking that anyone considering donating to the Christmas 'Make A Wish' program to do so with gifts cards  or a monetary donation.

This year, we are partnering with Toyrifix, a locally owned business.  Monetary donations will be used to purchase standard gifts for the children.  Gift card donations will be used as part of each child's gifts.

Please consider donating in either $25 or $50 gift cards from the list below:

Visa/Mastercard Gift Card   •   Amazon   •   Target   •   GameStop   •   Walmart

If you prefer to make a monetary donation:

Please make checks payable to "Wayne County Children Services" noting the funds are for "Christmas MAW".

We realize that nothing could ever replace the gifts that are lovingly selected by our wonderful sponsors but due to COVID-19 precautions we are unable to accept any filler gifts this year.

For a completely "contactless" delivery, you may mail or drop off your donations in our drop box located at the main entrance of Wayne County Children Services or you are welcome to drop off at our reception window during business hours or mail your donations to 2534 Burbank Rd, Wooster, OH 44691.

Please include your name/organization name and address with your donation so we may issue your tax receipt and send you a copy of our Thank You newsletter.

Tax receipts will be issued by January 31, 2021 for all donations.

Donations are needed by December 4, 2020.

Volunteer applications are processed during the months of February through September. Please don’t find this discouraging. Our Christmas ‘Make a Wish’ program takes a lot of coordination and impacts our time with insuring that all children have a bright holiday. We will gladly review applications we receive from October 1 through January 31 beginning the month of February.
