Wayne County School District Schedules for Meal Distribution

 

Chippewa Local Schools:   http://www.chippewa.k12.oh.us/

Chippewa Local Schools food service department is designing a plan to ensure students on the free lunch program will continue to receive meals daily. Our transportation department will provide the necessary support to deliver these meals. Chippewa Local Schools will assist families and children with all possible means at our disposal. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Principal if any help is needed.

CORRECTION:

Beginning Tuesday, March 17 during the time of school closure, the District will provide lunch each day for students. All students (Elementary, Middle, and High School) may come to the Elementary/Middle School each day between 11:00am - 1:00pm to receive a free bagged lunch.  If your child would like to receive a lunch but is not able to come to the Elementary/Middle School during that time period, please call the Elementary/Middle School Office, and the District will bring a lunch to your home.


Green Local Schools:

Free meals to students during school closure. The event entrance will be open daily M-F from 11-Noon to pick up meals. This begins Tuesday, March 17th-April 3rd.

Food Distribution Updates - Updated 3/15/2020 - 8:15 PM

Northwestern schools is providing meals to all children through 18 years of age. Also, those with disabilities up to age 22.

This will be done through our food pantry distribution partners. Our intent is to also support our donors and partners in providing grocery bags for families who visit these pantries as able. This means families in need, our elderly, and our handicapped neighbors - those in need. Those unable to pick-up at the food pantries please contact the food pantry and we will make every effort to bring to your home through school employees and volunteers. Pantry hours and distribution will be 11-1 and 4-6.

On 3/13/2020, all families on the free or reduced meal list were contacted and asked if they would like food to be delivered to them over next 3 weeks when school is closed.  The meals will be delivered by Norwayne staff 1 day per week. The delivery will consist of enough food for 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches per child.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18th grab-n-go lunches are available for all students from 11am – 12 pm at Orrville High School bus lane along Ella St.


Rittman Exempted Village:  http://www.rittman.k12.oh.us/district/news/parent-update-3162020

Beginning March 18, 2020, Rittman High School will have free lunch sacks available daily for all K-12 Rittman Exempted Village Schools’ students from 11:00am-12:00pm.  These can be picked up at the Rittman High School main entrance or the picnic pavilion on Strawberry Hill. 

The Server, located at 51 N. Main St., will also be providing free to-go breakfasts and lunches from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Rittman Food Pantry donated our current stock of non-perishables to this location.


Southeast Local Schools:

Beginning Wednesday, Marth 18th grab-n-go lunches will be available to any K-12 student from 11am-12pm at each of the elementary school’s main entrances.

Triway Local Schools:  http://www.triway.k12.oh.us/

Triway Local Schools will be providing free grab and go meals for any Triway student in need between 10:30 am-12:30 pm on Tuesday, 3/17, Wednesday, 3/18, Thursday, 3/19, and Friday, 3/20. Meals may be picked up in the office at Shreve Elementary and Wooster Township Elementary, or  the cafeteria at Triway High School. Triway students may pick up meals from the most convenient building, regardless of building of attendance. Future food service options will be evaluated weekly and communicated accordingly.


Wooster City Schools:

Food Distribution: The district will have 10 buses that will be stopping at 13 different locations throughout Wooster.  Busses will stop & stay at each location for 15 minutes to ensure that all students receive meals.
