Wayne County Children Services Christmas "Make-A-Wish"

What Is It? "Make-A-Wish" is a program designed to assist children and/or families for the holiday season. Who Is Eligible? Any child receiving assistance from The Wayne County Children Services Board whose family has a financial need or circumstantial hardship.
How Do I Become A Sponsor? Christmas "Make-A-Wish" would not be a reality if it were not for numerous sponsors who make hundreds of "wishes" come true. Each year there are more children with wishes to be filled.

How Can You Help? Children Services acts as a confidential facilitator matching a child with a community sponsor. A sponsor is given the first name and age of a child, along with clothing sizes and the child's personal Christmas "wishes." A list of needs may be obtained by a sponsor wishing to fill a food or household need for a family. All items are asked to be new or "nearly new!" Monetary contributions are gratefully accepted to assist with emergency cases and/or special needs of a child.
Where to Deliver/Send Contributions? All packages are wrapped and delivered to the Children Services' Office in the Kinney Building, 2534 Burbank Road, Wooster. The packages are then processed to be dispensed to the family by our caseworker "elves."
Delivery dates and times for 2009 are as follows: Thursday, December 10: 3:00pm -6:00pm Friday, December 11: 9:00am - 8:00pm Saturday, December 12: 8:30am - 2:30pm Sunday, December 13: 1:00pm - 5:00pm |
