Birthdate: February 1992 Raymond is a very likeable guy. He likes to spend time with family and his pets. He likes to talk and tell stories. He also likes to ride bikes and scrapbook. Raymond likes to attend camp and spend time with other kids. Raymond has experienced a number of issues in his past. Raymond was previously adopted when he was 10 years old. He experienced severe abuse and neglect and multiple placements prior to his adoption. There had been problems over the past year with Raymond’s behavior and the parents had asked for Raymond to be removed from their home. The parents were getting overwhelmed with all of Raymond’s behaviors and he was beginning to have almost daily tantrums. Raymond is currently placed in a MRDD foster home that is able to address his needs. Raymond had IQ testing and has found to be in the mild mental retardation range. Raymond is currently taking medication and in counseling for behavior modification. Raymond is in specialized classes at school and has an IEP to address his learning delays. He is currently getting good grades. Raymond attends school on a regular basis and appears to enjoy school and completing school work. He has difficulty with his behavior and making friends at school. Raymond is currently in counseling Raymond is making some progress in therapy, but it is likely he will need to remain in therapy long term due to the severity of the abuse he suffered. Raymond has a desire to be adopted. He would benefit from having a family that is dedicated and patient. He need’s a home that will recognize and be able to meet his need for continued intervention and nurturance.
