FOSTER FRIENDS OF WAYNE COUNTY

Building a Brighter Future for our Community's Foster Children!!

OUR MISSION

Foster Friends of Wayne County is a program under the umbrella of Wayne County Children Services. This program provides a brighter future to Wayne County children in foster care.

OUR VISION

The Foster Friends of Wayne County program exists to provide Foster Children and Youth with the things that make childhood the positive, enriching time it should represent in the life of every child. While the government provides Foster Children with the basic necessities such as shelter, food, clothing, and medical care, there is no provision for the extra activities that typical families might participate in. These fun Foster Family events and group activities promote self-esteem and offer experiences which closely resemble a normal childhood while Foster Children endure difficult circumstances. Donations of sporting event tickets, amusement park passes, tickets to plays or art museums, movie passes, hotel stays, and gift certificates to putt-putt and batting cages are just some of the ways you can help Foster Families enrich the lives of their Foster Children. To arrange a tax-deductible donation for this program, contact Joanne Walker at 330-345-5340 or walkej07@odjfs.state.oh.us
